Frigidaire unveils first glass door refrigerator

New glass design brings a contemporary upgrade to the kitchen

Frigidaire glass door refrigeratorHome design trends prove that now, more than ever, consumers are looking for sleek, professional-grade appliances to upgrade their homes. Matching the market’s need for innovation, Frigidaire Professional® has unveiled the Frigidaire Professional® Glass Door Refrigerator: a first-of-its-kind for the brand and an excellent addition to the existing suite of professionally inspired appliances.

The design was created with the consumer’s needs in mind. It’s simple to illuminate what’s inside – hands-free – with the Proximity Sensor, which automatically turns on interior lights when movement is detected in front of the appliance, so you can be hands-free and still see what’s inside. The interior lights fade to black when not in use, eliminating any concerns about keeping the contents of the refrigerator in showroom condition – vital for busy families.

Tapping into an aspirational aesthetic, the new Glass Door Refrigerator provides a fresh look and clean, premium aesthetic for the kitchen. The use of glass doors with the brand’s signature Smudge-Proof™ Stainless Steel, which resists fingerprints and cleans easily, delivers a professional, contemporary feel that opens up the kitchen.

“The new Glass Door Refrigerator expands our already successful line of professional appliances,” said John Weinstock, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Electrolux North America. “Consumers want powerful performance and state-of-the-art design in their kitchen. Unlike most professional appliances, this refrigerator is compatible with standard-size appliances so it fits into existing kitchens and doesn’t require custom work.”

Key features and benefits of the Frigidaire Professionals® Glass Door Refrigerator include:

  • Organizational solutions designed for space optimization, including the SpaceProTM Shelving System, make it easy to keep food organized and accessible. Plus, SpaceProTM Door Bins, SpaceProTM Crisper Bins and SpaceProTM Full-Width Drawer offer quick access to fresh ingredients and can be personalized to fit your lifestyle, growing and changing with your family’s needs.
  • With effective odor removal, the PureAir Ultra® Filtration System removes up to seven times more odor than baking soda—eliminating odor particles with fast-acting, highly absorbent carbon technology (1).
  • A removable wine rack that holds up to six wine bottles and enables consumers to conveniently store and chill their favorite wines.

The Frigidaire Professional® Glass Door Refrigerator delivers premium styling and performance at a more accessible price point. Available in standard sizes, unlike many other pro-style brands, consumers can achieve a high-end look without renovating the whole kitchen. Available for purchase in May 2017 for MSRP $2,699.

Subzero Wolf induction range

New Induction Range from Wolf Appliance

Wolf Appliance, Inc., the industry leader in premium cooking equipment, recently introduced its first ever induction range, and we want you to have one in your new designer home. The new induction range combines the sleek design and efficient performance of induction with the precise control and power of the iconic Wolf dual convection range.

“Homeowners are becoming more interested in induction technology and until now haven’t had the option to combine it with the power and precision of the dual convection range,” said Brian Jones, Director of Marketing for Sub-Zero and Wolf. “We created this product as a direct response to the feedback we’re receiving from designers and homeowners, and this launch further underscores Wolf’s commitment to offering an even wider range of quality cooking equipment in more design options.”

The Wolf Induction Range

Induction cooking harnesses the power of magnets, generating heat directly in the cooking vessel rather than the cooktop, to create a precise and efficient control of heat. Increased temperature response means lightning-fast high heat, super-low melts and simmers, and quick recovery. Foods like sauces and melted chocolate can be held at a simmer for hours without scorching. Additional benefits of induction:

  • Pan-sensing technology ensures almost no heat is wasted during cooking because energy is supplied only to the cooking vessel.
  • Electromagnetic fields heat only induction-compatible cookware so the cooktop stays relatively cool to the touch.
  • Induction cooktops are easier to clean because spills and splatters won’t burn on and adhere to the surface.

The range also features the signature Wolf dual convection oven cavity with two convection fans that saturate and circulate heat to ensure that food is cooked evenly without hot and cool spots, regardless of its placement within the oven, allowing multi-rack cooking with no rotation necessary. The dual convection oven also features 10 cooking modes that provide home cooks with the ideal cooking environments for everything from Cornish hens to cherry pie to roasted vegetables. The 10 modes are Bake, Roast, Broil, Convection, Convection Bake, Convection Roast, Convection Broil, Bake Stone, Proof and Dehydrate.

The induction range will be available in 30-inch and 36-inch widths – the 36-inch Wolf induction range is an industry first. Both sizes will include a sleek black glass cooking surface topside, choice of iconic red, black, or brushed stainless steel knobs, and are available in professional or transitional styles, thus signifying another landmark – the first time Wolf has offered a transitional option for its iconic range.

A third-generation family-owned company, Sub-Zero, Inc., formed Wolf Appliance, Inc., in 2000, establishing the brands as corporate companions and kitchen soul mates. Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances are manufactured in the United States using only premium-quality materials that are proven to stand the test of time. Ann Sacks designer ribbed tile

Ann Sacks Modern Ribbed Tile

Distinct contemporary styling and virtually limitless application are all hallmarks of ANN SACKS Collection Modern stoneware designs, originally introduced in 2012.  ANN SACKS now brings a complementing alternative, ANN SACKS Collection Modern Ribbed.  The inspired crisp geometry and simple, fluid details continue in this new collection, yet take it up a notch with the embellishment of ribbing to sections of the tile face.

ANN SACKS Collection Modern Ribbed designs are crafted by ANN SACKS in-house artisans in its Portland, Ore. facility.  The tile face features a raised edge detail that is then ribbed in an etched design to add depth and definition with a tactile quality that is visually captivating.  The clay has been specifically formulated to achieve a smooth, flat surface, and is then finished with an interactive glaze that breaks across the raised line and gentle ribbing across its stage to bisect, trace and slant in a subtle play of shadow and light.

The simple, sophisticated designs showcase the tiles’ precise execution and the spare beauty of the material.  Available in all ANN SACKS Stoneware colors, the collection currently hosts five 3×9 field designs: Ribbed Criss Cross, Ribbed Peaked Diamond Curve, Ribbed Rectangle, Ribbed Split Left and Ribbed Split Right; four 8”x 8” field designs:  Moon, Valley, Split and Connected Square; and one Triangle.
